Munz organic chocolates are CO2 neutral
We take our responsibility towards people and the environment extremely seriously. Our organic chocolates are completely carbon-neutral, thus making an active contribution to climate protection. Although the procurement of raw materials and the production of chocolate cause CO2 emissions, we compensate 100% of the emissions arising from the entire value chain directly in the country of origin of our cocoa, i.e. Peru.
Our engagement in Peru
We have been working with myclimate since 2014 and support the carbon offset project "Efficient Stoves in Peru". The traditional fireplaces in the houses of the local population are being replaced by efficient cooking stoves with flues. This reduces the consumption of wood and improves the air quality inside the house. In this way we are able to reduce CO2 emissions, raise the living conditions of the local population over the long term and protect the Peruvian forests.
