It is extremely important to us that we act responsibly when it comes to selecting packaging materials. We are constantly reviewing and optimising our entire packaging process.
Foil made from recycled aluminium
Your chocolate is optimally protected by aluminium foil from numerous external factors. This can massively reduce food waste, which in turn conserves resources. Most of our foil is made from recycled aluminium. This valuable metal can be recycled countless times. The process saves more than 90% of the energy required to produce new aluminium.
Grass-fibre cardboard
The cardboard packaging consists of 25% grass fibres. This raw material is obtained from sun-dried grass from the area surrounding the paper mill. With a CO2 reduction of up to 75%, grass fibre cardboard is significantly more sustainable than ordinary paper-based cardboard and can be easily recycled. This is why we use grass fibre cardboard for the new Munz organic chocolates.
